PB&J Bars
This dessert always seems to hit the spot – and will make you feel like a kid again (bonus).
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups Quaker old-fashioned oats
- 1 jar of your favorite jelly
HOW TO MAKE IT
- Using a mixer, blend the sugar, peanut butter, butter, vanilla and egg until fluffy
- Mix in the oats, flour, eggs and baking soda – the mixture should be moist, but crumbly
- Transfer 4 cups of the mixture into a baking pan (I use a Pyrex dish for this)
- Spread the entire 12 oz. jar of jelly on top of that bottom layer
- Sprinkle the remaining mix on top
- Bake at 350°F for 30-35 mins
